Joining a roller derby, need to fund equipment for myself, any fundraiser ideas?

I'm joining a roller derby and will need extra funds to get started. I have to purchase skates, pads, helmets, etc. as well as pay for dues/insurance. I have some money to get started but need to come up with other ways to fund this for myself. Any ideas on what I could do? Thanks in advance.
