Hey Texans, got mountains? Where?

If you want mountains forget Texas and go to New Mexico, Colorado or Arizona in that geographical area. The only "mountains" in Texas are right on the NM/Texas border and most of the range is in NM. As far as a good school the University of Texas (Austin) is a great school and there is a lot to do, nature wise, in the hill country. Lake Travis, near Austin, is very nice as is the Guadalupe River for rafting. Forget El Paso - it's a dump and a crime ridden border town!
