Is it safe right now for an American to teach in Thailand?

I would say it is safe.The only part of Thailand i would not feel as safe is southern Thailand getting close toward Malasyia. Bangkok is a very big city and Phuket is a Island and a international beach resort area.It all depends on what kind of atmosphere you are loking for.The people are nice and the culture is nice also.I have been to Thailand 5 times and my wife is thai.
