Would abolishing the electoral college cause people to lose jobs?

No, I don't think moving the country a step closer to actual democracy and the ideal of one person - one vote would endanger a lot of jobs. (It's curious how how the conservative voices of folks like "always buy 6 & 8" come out against democracy when it's our own country we're talking about...)
