Boyfriend help...!!..?

okay i love this boy named austin and we been going out now....but then everytime i think bout him i think bout my ex named sammy too..is that okay or not?but then i broke up wit sammy because i wanted to go out wit austin only because hes cute and funny...but i broke sammy's heart for noo reason..but i love austin and sammy but i have to choose one....and thats really heard for me...but thare's something else too...well my best friend desiree thought i broke up wit sammy wen i didn't and asked austin for me and now sammy hates me because he thought i cheat on him but then i broke up wit him anyways for no reason..(im sorry if you didnn't get what i said above but its really hard to explain)
